In 1986 Keith started his first job in Estate Agency as a trainee with Breckon & Breckon. In 1991 he caught the travelling bug and back-packed around Asia and Australasia for just over a year. On his return he specialised in property refurbishment and development then rejoined Breckon & Breckon in 1995. He was made a partner in the business on April 1st, 1999 (the date was a little worrying). He took full control of the company in April 2005 when Neil Innes (who originally employed him in 1986) retired.

In 1995 Jenny joined Breckon & Breckon as a full-time secretary and brought with her over 12 years of experience in the Estate Agency Business. Jenny was quickly promoted through the ranks and is now our Office Manager providing valuation advice to clients and ensuring that all sales proceed as smoothly as possible. Jenny’s calm and friendly manner has resolved many tricky situations where emotions were running high. In short you could not wish for a better person to be working for you when selling your home.

Julie joined us in 1998 bringing with her 9 years of experience in the Estate Agency business. Julie takes charge of office administration overseeing the production of our sales particulars and ensuring the correct information is entered onto our back office software system. On top of all of this Julie efficiently arranges hundreds of viewings every year. Sometimes we are not sure where she gets all her energy from.

Julie has always been interested in property and has worked in estate agency since 1999. She joined Oxford Apartments when it first opened in 2005 and thoroughly deserves recognition for the success of the company since then. Living in a small south Oxfordshire village, Julie has the best of both worlds, working in the city and then relaxing from the hustle and bustle to the quiet and calm of village life.  Julie has now joined our busy City Centre office and has already become an integral part of the team.

Having graduated from university in 1997, Tom decided to venture into the enthralling world of residential agency. He happily considers himself to be a career estate agent, with 12 years experience in various agency roles within Oxfordshire. He consistently meets and exceeds the expected high levels of customer service within Breckon & Breckon, being extremely committed in all that is asked of him and constantly willing to go that extra mile for client and applicant alike. He is now looking forward to the next 29 years, before reaching the ripe old age of 65 and popping his laser measurer in his briefcase for good.

Greg set up the Letting & Management division of Breckon & Breckon in 2004 having entered the property business some 14 years earlier. He has qualified to Level II in the highly regarded ARLA exam and achieved a distinction at Level I. The letting operation has rapidly grown in to a key area of our business dealing with a large and varied client base. Greg employs an enthusiastic team helping landlords through the many hoops involved in letting their property.

Louise originally worked in our High Street sales office and joined the letting office as an administrator quickly proving herself to be an enthusiastic and successful negotiator. She now runs the letting department as a Senior Negotiator with Polly and plays a pivotal role in agreeing new tenancies and ensuring that our clients are kept updated regularly are kept in touch throughout the whole process to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

Chris joined as property manager in 2005 as has the daily challenge of dealing with a varied range of maintenance issues, from minor to major. He also project manages the refurbishment and furnishing on behalf of clients. His strength is undoubtedly being able to absorb, what are often demanding issues and resolve them rapidly through a strong team of contractors. Chris is also well known in the sporting world being an accomplished cricket and hockey player.

Suzanne joined Cluttons after Greg left in 2004 to manage the letting department which she developed successfully and now forms part of the Breckon & Breckon portfolio. Suzanne has been in the letting business for 22 years and is very well know and respected within the industry and is ARLA qualified to Level II.

Nicole is the most recent member our team and is one of our negotiators working very closely with Louise in running our letting department.

Having spent 12 years in the Royal Air Force travelling the world Rob decided it was time to settle down in civvie street. Rob moved to Oxford in 1990 and in 1995 he was employed by a local corporate estate agent. In April 2005 Rob was approached by Keith Stacey to assist in setting up Oxford’s first specialist estate agency and Oxford Apartments was born. Rob’s driving ambition produced first year results higher than anyone had dared hope for. He relishes his role as head of Oxford’s most unconventional estate agency and has proven time and time again that the philosophy behind Oxford Apartments really does work.

Ben started his estate agency career in 2006 with a corporate company and in 2007 he decided it was time for a fresh challenge. He saw the light and headed into the independent estate agency world with Oxford Apartments. Ben is a local man, who grew up in Wheatley, where he still lives. He has a passion for rugby both playing and watching. Ben is now a key team member and has an excellent understanding of the principles behind Oxford apartments, he is constantly looking at ways to improve how we operate and has tremendous customer service standards.

Chris started his career in Estate Agency back in 2004 working for a respected independent firm.  He then moved to Cluttons operating from their Oxford City Centre office and dealing with a wide range of homes in the City and surrounding villages. When Breckon & Breckon acquired the Cluttons residential sales business in 2009 we were delighted to offer Chris the position of manager in our Summertown office.  He is married with three children, two dogs and numerous other pets.  He is a keen golfer and plays for a local cricket team.

Anneka has been living in Oxford for the past 6 years and has always had an interest in the housing market. She is keen to develop her knowledge by taking the front desk in our Summertown office. She lived in Australia where she played tennis at a semi-professional level, but has now she has hung up her tennis shoes and has put on a pair of heels to add a feminine touch to our office.

Eleanor originally trained as a Norland Nanny, and worked for many families all over the world before finishing up in Oxford. When the family no longer needed her services she moved into agency where she has been ever since – developing a reputation for tenacity and attention to detail. She has finally found her feet in the Summertown office of the Breckon & Breckon family. A keen horsewoman all her life, Ellie will be seen leaving the office early through the polo season with sticks in hand heading off for chukkas.

Andrew has lived abroad for several years, being born in Singapore and then living in Denmark, moving home on more than 20 occasions. Andrew joined Breckon & Breckon in late 2007 with enthusiasm and willingness to succeed. Andrew has been living in Oxfordshire for the past 13 years gaining a good knowledge of the area. His interview was rigorous and included psychometric, spelling and maths tests. To ensure we keep him on his toes, we have yet to disclose any of the results.

Most Estate Agents have a story to tell about how they first got into the business, none more bizarre than Timothy’s! 24 years on there are not many market conditions that he has not experienced before. In 1983 he started as a junior negotiator in Northamptonshire, and before joining Breckon & Breckon spent 15 years as a Regional Director managing 21 branches in Central and West London. Timothy lives in Oxfordshire with his wife and triplets, and if you want to know how he first got into Estate Agency, you will need to ask him for yourself!

Julia has lived in Witney all of her life, and spent 11 years with Buckell and Ballard in Corn Street and 23 years in agency altogether. Julia’s administration skills are second to none and she brings a feel of calm and order to a very lively sales environment.

Katy Higgins has lived in Witney for the last fifteen years and prior to this lived in the family home in the village of Finstock. Being local through and through she has that familiar face already, and having worked at Steamer Trading Cookshop on Witney’s Market Square since it opened in 2008 you may already have met her!

Having started his estate agency career in Oxford in 1983, Simon went onto manage offices in Faringdon, Witney and Wallingford before catching the travelling bug and spending time in Nepal. On his return in 1997 he spent a year in the new homes business before moving to a competitors office in Woodstock. Simon joined us in April 2003 and a combination of his experience together with the reputation of Breckon & Breckon meant that since then our Woodstock office has easily been the main player in the local property market.

Jane was born and brought up in the Woodstock area and so has a comprehensive local knowledge which often proves invaluable. Her sales expertise is frequently put to good use along with her ability in all things IT. Jane joined us in 2003 bringing with her 3 years of experience in the local estate agency market. She is able to take the most complex of problems, immediately reduce them to their basics and then set about solving them. This straight forward approach has served our clients very well. Simon joined the letting team in 2006 having previously worked for a national developer in their new homes sales team. He has a natural ability to ‘sniff out a deal’ and works very hard for landlords and tenants to obtain the best terms and find the most suitable accommodation. Due to his hardworking ethos we are prepared to forgive his choice and colour of motor car. NEWSFLASH 11/4/08 Apparently the pressure has now got to Simon and the old green beetle is just about to be traded in!
